JH Track Results

The Urbana Junior High School girls track team won the Boss Invitational with 44 points on Saturday. It was stopped after 6 events were scored due to weather. Winning for Urbana were Hunter Rogan in the Long Jump(13' 10") and Morgan Hamilton in the 100 Hurdles(17.95). also scoring were Maggie Paulsen, Katy Curnutte, Kaelyn Bertsch and Val Batova

The boys placed third. Scoring for Urbana were Jack Harris, Keith Gale, Jaylin Cameron, Tim Sidders and Mckay Lemieux

Daily Announcements for April 27th 2012


The student Council is sponsoring a glad the OAA's are over party called Awesome Teen Extravaganza on Thursday May 4th from 3-5. There will be dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, a dance contest, music, and concessions.  Come on out and party! Presale tickets for card holders will be 2.00, presale tickets for non card holders will be 3.00.  Tickets at the door will be 5.00 for everyone.

Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser

the NJHS wants to raise money to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. They want to have a raffle for kids to be able to put a pie in a teachers face on field day. I told them that they have to find at least 5 teachers who are willing to be targets in order to sell tickets.Also, we need targets for the twinkie toss. this fundraiser is for the USO.

The Urbana Junior High School boys and girls track teams each finished second in the county meet behind West Liberty Salem. Finishing first for Urbana was Morgan Hamilton in the 100M Hurdles(18.09) and 200M Hurdles(33.85), Hunter Rogan in the 400M(1:08.58), 400M Relay team of Val Batova, Rogan, Katy Curnutte, Hamilton(57.66),800M Relay team of Batova, Emma Burnside, Molly Hamilton, Kaelyn Bertsch(2:09.76), Jack Harris in the Discus(124' 7"), Justin Myers in the 400M(58.95) and 800M(2:26.16)

Getting Ready for the OAA with Study Island


IT'S STUDY ISLAND TIME!!
Students are being encouraged to get ready for the upcoming Ohio Achievement Assessments by answering practice questions on Study Island.  All students who answer the necessary number of questions (1100 for 8th grade; 750 for 7th grade) at 70% correct will be rewarded with a fun day with a deejay one afternoon in May and free t-shirt designed by our own Ms. Parker and her students!!  Study Island is web based, so it can be done on any computer.  Students have access to computer labs before school and during homeroom, study halls, and lunch.
