Daily Announcements for September 25th 2012

The first Washington payment is due today.

All student forms are now due. The following students still need to turn in either an Emergency Medical form and or a field trip form. (22students Names redacted- stop in office to see if you are one of the 22 ). Turn your forms in now before you get an after school detention. If you need another copy – stop by the office.

We need your signed BYOT form in order to be permitted to bring your technology to be used in the classroom.

Boys basketball open gym is tonight from 5:30 to 7:00 in the high school gym.

Chess Club starting - Needs Boards and Chess Pieces

If anyone has any old chess boards that they would like to donate or lend for the chess club it would be greatly appreciated. There are some students who when not reassessing or enriching may benefit from this time. Thanks, Todd Charles You may drop off the chess board or chess pieces at the UJHS office.

Daily Announcements for September 13, 2012

Congratulations to our at large student council members – Morgan Bandy, Damion Williams, Rachel Pickering, Sierra Ross, Cody Parker, Max Jenks, Connor Prince, Madison Larocque, Karsen Voorhees, Elaina Thomas, Olivia Dunham, Bridget Ofori, and Taylor Williams.

7th grade football lost to Tecumseh 20 to 6. Hang in there guys!

The first Junior High boys basketball open gym will be this Thursday from 5:30-7:00 in the high school gym.

The seventh grade volleyball team lost to Shawnee last night with the scores 25-10, 25-23.
High scorer was Kim Asper with 12 service points

The eighth grade volleyball team beat Shawnee last night with the scores 25-12, 25-12
Leaders were Olivia Dunham with 12 points 6 aces and 7 assists, Madison Dolby with 7 points 6 aces and 3 assists, and Hunter Rogan with 5 kills!
Great job ladies!

The next home match is this Saturday as they face riverside and triad. Games start at 10AM. Come out and support the volleyball team!

9th period Study Halls (This Friday)

Tomorrow is the BLT meeting. If you have a 9th period study hall, please tell them they will be in the cafeteria. Hopefully, everyone remembers who they covered last time so that's how we will do it again.

The eighth grade team won with a score of 25-13, 25-4
Madison Dolby led the team with 14 service points and 5 assists while Karsen Voorhees had 8 service points!!

Daily Announcements for September 9th 2012

Any Jr high students attending tonight's game will be expected to act appropriately. Any students touching other students or any type of hands on behavior will be escorted from the game.

Have you heard, Urbana Junior High School has a new club. The SPIRIT CLUB. The Spirit Club will be doing many activities throughout the year to bring back a lot of enthusiasm and pride to UJHS. Who can be part of the spirit club: Any UJHS student can join. Please sign up for the spirit club by the doors of Mrs. Eickhoff, Mrs. Stolly, and Mr. Bowdle. When will the club meet: We will meet every Wednesday during Climber Time. Members must attend Intervention and reassessment first. Students will be reserved on a rotation. What will we do: Make and hang signs on lockers, decorate doors, take pictures of UJHS in action, Update message board, and many more. So don't delay, sign up now for the new UJHS SPIRIT CLUB.

JH Student Council info

One person will be elected from each homeroom(2 from band/choir and 2 from choir only). This person will be reporting back to your class all of the info from student Council meetings. There will also be a second election for at large members who don't get elected from their homeroom. The info is available in the office but is due FRIDAY.

Congratulations to Mr. Bowdle’s homeroom for turning in the most picnic rsvp’s! They will be rewarded with doughnuts from Tim Hortons.

8th grade football plays at Mad River MS good luck, bring home a win.
