Any 8th grade girl interested in playing tennis next year – there will be a meeting April 7th in Mrs. Eickhoff’s room (C207). If you are in track or cannot make the meeting, please see Mrs. Eickhoff as soon as possible.

The Urbana Junior High School Girls track team were the winners of a tri-meet with Springfield City and Riverside. Placing first were:Payton Moore in the 100m hurdles(18.15) and the 200M Hurdles(34.95), 400M Relay Team of Mckenzie Ellis, Morgan Hamilton, Tory Quesenberry, Val Batova(59.08), 800M Relay team of Katy Curnutte, Tori Quesenberry, Mady Lanning, Mckenzie Ellis(2:10.31), Brookelynn Russell in the Pole Vault(7 ft),Tori Quesenberry in the Long Jump(12' 10"), Teya Buckney in the Shot Put(27) and Destiny Andrews in the Discus(65' 4"). Other placers included Landre Neer in the shot and discus, Mekayla Summers and Kayla Adkins in the discus, Katy Curnutte in the Long Jump,Katie Weinert, Doree Schwarz and Mady Lanning in the Pole vault, Aubrey Norris and Destiny VonDeylen in the High Jump, the 1600M Relay team of Destiny VonDeylen, Aubrey Norris, Doree Schwarz, Brookelynn Russell in the 1600M Relay, Morgan Hamillton and Ashley Shambaugh in the 200M Hurdles, Morgan Hamilton in the 100M Hurdles, Aubrey Norris, Tabitha McCall, Teresa Guajardo in the 1600, Alexis Parker in the 800Meter Run and Val Batova in the 200M dash.

The Boys were also victorious. First Place winners were Cody Grim in the 200(26.65), Austin Curtis in the 400(:58) and 800(2:33), Jaymen Neff-Strickland in the 110 Hurdles(17.73) and 200M Hurdles (29.28), 400M Relay team of Jean Paul Soto, Sam Niswonger, Jaymen Neff-Strickland, Tyree Andrews(51.36), the 800Mm Relay team of Langston Kitchen, Aaron Lawson, Chris Ethridge, Jack Harris(2:01.46), 1600M Relay Team of Ethan Edwards, Nathan Mays, Charles Sidders, Kristoffer Hamilton(4:24.80), Nathan Mays in the High Jump(5' 2"), Ethan Edwards in the Pole Vault, Jack Harris in the Shot Put, Aaron Lawson in the Discus.
