Daily Announcement for April 13th, 2011

Any 8th grader interested in playing high school golf there will be a short 10 minute meeting Monday in the cafeteria after school.

Any 8th grader who would like to sign out a flip camera needs to see Mrs. Poppel in the office after school.

Any 8th grade student interested in participating in Summer PE needs to stop by the office and pick up an application from Mrs. Karnehm. Completed registration and payment is due to Mrs. Karnehm no later than May 6th!!! Or until all spots for the class are filled. (4/11 – 5/5)

The community adult-student theater will be presenting 100 years of broadway and is in need of student singers, dancers and musicians. Registration will be held Saturday, April 16th 9 to noon at 900 Scioto st Urbana and 8025 E Rt 36 Conover or you can call 653-5092 or 622-1010.


Today’s HIP winners are: Alexis Shambaugh, Lucy Buckalew, David Martin and Jaymen Neff-Strickland.

The Urbana Junior High School Girls Track Team placed third in a five team meet on Tuesday. Payton Moore won the 100M Hurdles (18.04) and placed second in the 200M Dash. Tori Quesenberry was second in the Long Jump. Landre Neer was third in the Discus and Destiny Andrews was third in the Shot Put. The Boys team placed fourth. Nathan Mays won the 400M Dash (1:03.31). Jaymen Neff-Strickland was the winner in the 110M Hurdles (17.22) and the 200M Hurdles (28.22). Cody Grim placed second in the 200M Dash and Chris Ethridge was 5th. Blake Hildreth took 5th in the 800. Kristoffer Hamilton placed second in the 110M Hurdles and third in the 200M Hurdles. The 400M Relay team of Jack Harris, Jaymen Neff-Strickland, Sam Niswonger and Cody Grim placed third. The 800M Relay team of Aaron Lawson, Langston Kitchen, Chris Ethridge and Jack Harris placed third. The 1600m Relay team of Ethan Edwards, Caleb Honore, Nathan Mays and Kristoffer Hamilton placed third. Nathan Mays was second in high Jump and Ethan Edwards was second in Pole vault. Sam Niswonger took fourth in Long Jump and Jack Harris was third in the Shot Put
