Daily Announcements for March 1st 2012

Next week the NJHS will begin collecting for Pennies For Patients. This money will be used to help support children with leukemia, lymphoma and other childhood cancers. Please check out the posters around school to see who are Honored heros are. During the campaign we will have a 7th grade against 8th grade competition to see who can raise the most money to help stop out childhood cancer. here is how it works; If you bring in dollars, checks or pennies they will count for your grade. If you bring in silver change like nickels, dimes and quarters they will count against the other grade. So, clean out your piggy banks and help the NJHS find a cure for childhood cancer.

If you are participating in track, your parent must attend the mandatory parent meeting on Thursday at 6:15 pm.

On March 7th, there will be meeting for any 8th grade girl interested in playing tennis next year.  If you are currently in a spring sport, please stop by during school to room C207, Mrs Eickhoff’s room, to pick up information.  If you are not in a spring sport and are thinking about trying tennis, please come to the meeting.  It will be right after school, and last about a half hour.  You will need transportation home from the meeting.

For the month of March, the Student council is sponsoring a can and bottle recycling contest.  The grade that collects the most cans and bottles will get to choose the theme of the next dance.
