May 21-25 Schedule 2012

TUESDAY-6th grade transition-9:00(SEE below)

WEDNESDAY- 8th grade y day(see below)- leaving at the beginning of 6th period

THURSDAY-hip trips- most are leaving at 8:30(see below)- bowling chaperones-please remember to plan for someone to cover lunch duty from your chaperone group

FRIDAY-7th grade awards-calling kids down beginning at 8:50- starts at 9:00. 7th grade y day(see attachment)(5TH AND 6TH PERIOD WILL BE SWITCHED). 8TH grade promotion practice(all available 8th grade teachers, please come to the auditorium to help)



Instructions for tour guides on 6th grade transition day

1.      Gym- If Mr. Eldridge is in the gym, he will talk. If he isn’t and Mrs. Poppel is then she will. If there is no teacher then explain to them about changing for Physical Education and that you have it every day for half of a year.
2.      Ms. Parker-If she is available to talk, she will. If not, tell them that everyone has Art everyday for 9 weeks and it counts for a grade. Include any positive things about Art class that you can.

3.      Office- Bring them to the window and explain how to use the window. Include that you need to go there if tardy or the next day if absent and before you go to the nurse. If Mrs. Karnehm has time, she will speak to them.
4.      Library-Explain that you can check out books and use the computer lab during study hall. Mrs. Warwick will speak if she has time.
5.      Mr. McAndrew-If he is available, he will speak. If not tell them about 7th grade World Studies. Only include positive comments.
6.      Mr. Bowdle-If he is there, he will speak to them. If not, tell them that everyone has health for a 9 weeks and it counts for a grade. Include any positive thing from health that you can.
7.      Mrs. Eickhoff or Ms. Neff- If she is there, she will speak. If not, explain the double period and readers workshop.
8.      Mr. Baum- If he is available, he will speak. If not, talk about 7th grade math. Only include positive comments.
9.      Mrs. Forson-If she is available, she will speak. If not, tell them about 7th grade science. Only include positive comments.
10.  Cafeteria-Show them how to get there and tell them about how the cafeteria line works.
11.  Guidance- She will talk if available. If not, show them where it is and explain that she is there to help with any problems.
